CELEBRATING THE ARTS
The Boerne Visual Artists are bringing to the Hill Country a unique art event: the Little BIG Art Show, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1 in the historic Richter Building at 153 S. Main St.
This year’s show features 35 local artists, each presenting three or more original works, all sized precisely 8-by-8 inches. The format invites artists and viewers to explore creativity within a shared frame, resulting in a vibrant mosaic of styles, mediums and stories.
Prices range from $20 to $250, making the show an accessible entry point for new collectors, and a treasure trove for seasoned art lovers. Whether you are seeking a bold abstract, a delicate watercolor or a whimsical mixed media piece, the Little BIG Art Show offers something for every taste and budget.
“This show is about celebrating the power of small works to make a big impact,” said Paula Lay, BVA president. “It is a chance for artists to connect with the community in a personal way — and for visitors to take home a piece of that connection.”
The event coincides with the Hill Country Mile Rod Run, adding classic cars and vintage charm to the day’s festivities. Visitors can stroll Boerne’s scenic downtown, enjoy local food and music, and discover art that speaks to the heart.
Admission is free and all artworks are available for purchase. Proceeds support local artists and help sustain Boerne’s thriving creative community.
