Challenger emerges in county judge race

A Boerne native is stepping up and launching a bid for Kendall County’s top elected post ahead of next year’s primary election.

Ricky Gleason announced last week that he will run for Kendall County judge in the March 3 Republican primary, challenging incumbent Judge Shane Stolarczyk. If elected, he pledged to restore principled, conservative leadership and defend the county’s longstanding values.

“I’m running for county judge because our county deserves leadership that listens, protects our freedoms, respects taxpayers and stands firm for the values that make this such a special place to live,” Gleason said.

GLEASON

Gleason, who grew up riding his horse to town and graduated from local schools, said he is shaped by small-town traditions, strong faith and “a community that believes in personal responsibility, service and freedom.”

He works as a partner and advisor at Prime Capital Financial and has served on the Boerne Planning and Zoning Commission and on boards for organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, the 100 Club of Kendall County, The Centurions of Kendall County and Hope for Heroes, where he sat as president.
