Incumbent carry the night; County judge, 2 commissioners re-elected

More than 33 percent of registered Kendall County voters cast votes in early voting and on Election Day Tuesday, returning all county incumbents to their posts.

County Judge Shane Stolarczyk won a second term Tuesday, turning back an Election Day surge by challenger Ricky Gleason. Stolarczyk's 4,292 votes (44.16%) topped Gleason's 3,979 (40.94%). Gleason trimmed Stolarczyk's 422-vote early voting lead to 323, but could get no closer. Bess Martin tallied 1,449 votes (14.91%) of the votes.

Precinct 2 Commissioner Andra Wisian and Precinct 4 Commissioner Chad Carpenter both achieved re-election. Wisian -- with 1,360 votes, or 47.8% -- beat challenger J.C. Taylor (1,088, 38.24%) and Richard Elkins (392, 13.95%). Carpenter outdistanced challenger Brett D'Spain, 1,542-841, or 64.7-35.29%.

Others being re-elected include Justice of the Peace Precinct 2's Dave Neighbors  and Precinct 3's Debby Hudson, and County Treasurer Sheryl D'Spain.

The Election Department showed 13,169 votes cast -- 33.04% of the county's 39,856 registered voters. Of those, 7,528 were cast in Early Voting, while 5,641 came in on Election Day. 

KENDALL COUNTY JUDGE

Besa Martin -- 1,449 votes, 14.91 percent.

Shane Stolarczyk (i) -- 4,292 votes, 44.16 percent

Ricky Gleason -- 3,979 votes, 40.94 perent

Richard Elkins -- 392votes, 13.45 percent

J.C. Taylor -- 1,088 votes, 38.24 percent

Andra Wisian (i) -- 1,360 votes, 47.8 percent

Brett D'Spain -- 841 votes, 35.29 percent

Chad Carpenter (i) -- 1,542 votes, 64.71 percent

Susanne Presley -- 3,460 votes, 38.51 percennt

Sheryl D'Spain (i) -- 5,524 votes, 61.49 percent

Vince Robisheaux -- 705 votes, 26.44 percent

Dave Neighbor (i) -- 1,961 votes, 73.56 percent

Jon Tipton -- 1,117 votes, 48.5 percent

Debby Hudson (i) -- 1,186 votes, 51.5 percent
