One of the young ladies leaves first base on her way to second on an infield hit.
More than 50 young ladies showed up for this year’s Boerne ISD softball camp held last week at Boerne High School. The young ladies went through drills, exercises and scrimmages as they improved their softball skills under the direction of Chargers head coach Sara Cammer and Greyhounds head coach Chester Pettibon, along with current BISD softball players. At the end of the camp, the youngsters posed for a group photo in their camp T-shirts.It’s a race to the bag between a base runner and the fielder, who has the ball in her glove. One of the campers hits off the tee during one of the scrimmages as one of the student-coaches watches from behind the play.(RIGHT) One of the infielders makes a throw to the awaiting first baseman during a scrimmage.
