LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Editor, Thank you so much to you and your team for your recent coverage of Democratic events. I understand that the Star has received some level of pushback from local Republicans for that coverage.
It is the job of journalists to provide fair and balanced coverage to the readers. It is understandable that there may be more coverage of conservative views and events on the front page of the Star — that is the majority here in Boerne, of course.
But it also follows that there can — and should — be coverage of left-leaning perspectives and happenings as well, even in a conservative county. Thank you for including such events and voices in your coverage.
Democrats here in Boerne and Kendall County are growing in numbers. We will continue to work hard to make our voices heard and appreciate the acknowledgement of our presence in our community.
I, for one, hope to live in and build a Boerne where neighbors can respect and appreciate each other’s diverse views and beliefs without a need to silence them.
