Dietz Elkhorn public meeting Wednesday

FAIR OAKS RANCH — Fair Oaks Ranch city staff will host a public meeting concerning upcoming Dietz Elkhorn Road construction from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the Police Department Training Room, 7286 Dietz Elkhorn.

The meeting will include a staff presentation, group Q&A, and breakout stations covering the project overview, phased detour plans, and anticipated schedule.

Construction is estimated to begin in August 2026 with an estimated construction timeframe of 12-15 months.

The Dietz Elkhorn Roadway Reconstruction Project is a comprehensive initiative to improve one of Fair Oaks Ranch’s primary transportation routes, spanning from Fair Oaks Parkway to FM 3351.

The project includes fulldepth reconstruction of approximately 1.2 miles of Dietz Elkhorn Road between Fair Oaks Parkway and FM 3351, drainage improvements, utility and driveway adjustments, and installation of a new 12-inch water main beneath the north shoulder. The reconstructed roadway will retain two 11-foot travel lanes and expand the paved shoulder on the south side from approximately one to two feet to five feet.
