Boerne Little League or Texas West, defeated Texas East Sunday in an elimination game, 3-2, at the Southwest Region tourney in Waco.
Boerne or Texas West advances to face Louisiana Monday, 2 p.m. The winner of that game advances to the championship game against Oklahoma on Tuesday. Tuesday's winner advances to the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.
Monday and Tuesday's games are scheduled to be carried on one of the ESPN networks.
Saturday's game
Texas West (Boerne) 10, Mississippi 0
The Boerne Little League team or Texas West champs, bounced back in a big way Sat. after their opening-round loss at the Southwest Region Tournament.
Boerne beat Mississippi 10-0 behind 14 hits.
Boerne still has to win Sunday and Monday in order to make it to the championship game on Tuesday. The winner of Tuesday's title tilt advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
