When you think of preparing students for the future in K-12 education, the first thing that may cross your mind is teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic. Of course that has and will always continue to be a cornerstone of educating our children. However, in Boerne ISD we also prepare students for the workforce through our Career and Technical Education programs.
We have collaborated with our community to offer programs that provide hands-on experience and give students the tools they need to succeed at the next level. We are constantly working with the Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, San Antonio, and surrounding business communities, which includes the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, the Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, among others. Our local business partners help keep us up to date with the latest workforce needs in our community, so that we can better serve our students and prepare them, as well as the business community, for the future.
