Hounds advance to state tennis tourney

SAN ANTONIO – In just his first year with the Boerne High tennis program, Tyson Stewart has managed to lead the Greyhounds to this year’s 4A state tournament.

Stewart previously coached in the Northside district and said he never came close to advancing a team to state.

“This was not possible at my old school, I was telling the kids that I’ve never been past the second round of the playoffs,” he said. “To go to state in College Station where my dad is tournament director is going to be fun, it’s going to be good memories.”
