Whenever Boerne High plays Wimberley in most sports it’s usually a good match up and Tuesday’s district girls basketball game between the Lady Greyhounds and Lady Texans started out that way.
Wimberley hung with the Lady Hounds for about a quarter, but after that it was all Boerne. The Texans scored 19 points in the first quarter, but then only managed 10 points in the final three stanzas as BHS went on to whip Wimberley by 63 points, 92-29.
No. 3 ranked Boerne (TABC) improves to 21-1 overall and remains perfect in district play at 3-0. They visited Navarro on Friday and host Canyon Lake Tuesday before a showdown with Fredericksburg next Friday on the road.
