Boerne High was on the road for a district soccer match on Friday when the Lady Greyhounds visited Canyon Lake.

Boerne Champion closed out district play in boys basketball Friday night on the road against New Braunfels Canyon with a big win.

The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team won its three district games last week, defeating St. Mary’s Hall, St. Anthony and Austin Regents as they made up some games to close out the regular season.

It took until last weekend, but the Comfort girls basketball team finally knows who its first-round playoff opponent will be.

The Boerne High boys soccer team is the defending 4A state champs and they’re playing like it after they rolled past another district opponent on Friday.

Friday’s boys soccer match between Boerne Champion and Kerrville Tivy was a game of momentum swings but it was the Chargers who had the final momentum swing go its way.

Members of the Boerne Champion and Boerne High swim teams competed at the regional meet held Monday and Tuesday in College Station and the Chargers had several qualify for next weekend’s state meet. The top finisher in each event advances to state, while the next eight fastest advance to state as call-ups regardless of region. The event was supposed to be held last weekend but was moved to this week after the icy conditions last weekend. 

Things turned a little rough near the end of Boerne High’s basketball game with Wimberley Tuesday night, but it didn’t take away from the Greyhounds winning another district championship.

Boerne Champion closed out the regular season in girls basketball Tuesday night at home and ended district play with a win.

Three games into district play and the Boerne High girls soccer team is still looking for its first win in 26-4A after a tie and a loss this week to go with another tie in the league opener.

It was Senior Night at Geneva on Tuesday when the Eagles hosted St. Anthony in a district boys basketball game.

After a couple of tough district losses, the Boerne Champion girls soccer team has rebounded well and won three straight via the shutout by a combined score of 21-0.
