Boerne Champion stayed in the mix for this year’s district title after the Chargers boys basketball team picked up a solid road win against a playoff team Tuesday night.

Boerne Champion played two boys soccer matches this week and didn’t drop either after they played to a tie and then recorded a big win.

The Comfort girls basketball team finished up the regular season Tuesday in Ingram by defeating the Lady Warriors and clinching the No. 3 seed in 25-3A.

The Comfort Bobcats traveled to Ingram on Tuesday and won in overtime against the Warriors, 56-54.

Boerne High had two goals in mind Saturday when the No. 12 Lady Greyhound basketball team hosted No. 3 Fredericksburg.

Geneva School of Boerne visited Providence for a girls basketball game last weekend and the No. 1 state-ranked Eagles (TAPPS 5A) picked up a 48-37 district road victory.

Boerne Champion visited Kerrville Tivy for a key district girls basketball game on Saturday afternoon. Both the Lady Chargers and Lady Antlers have earned playoff spots but seeding for the postseason was up for grabs in Saturday’s tussle.

The UIL announced its district alignments for the next two years last Thursday and it was a mixed bag for Champion, Boerne High and Comfort, with a few changes and surprises but also some familiar foes.
