The Boerne ISD Boys Basketball Camp took place recently at Champion High School. It’s been the largest camp of the summer so far with about 260 young men attending. The week-long camp was conducted by coaches and former players from both Champion and Boerne high schools.

Recent Boerne High graduate Regina Hernandez signed to play soccer with Club Necaxa Femenil in Aguacalientes, Mexico. The team plays in the Liga MX Femenil, which is the highest division of women’s soccer in Mexico. Hernandez will also take online classes at UTSA while she plays.

The annual Flag Run 5K race and 1 mile walk was held on July 4th in and around Boerne. More than 300 walkers and runners took part in the event that started and ended at Main Plaza. Half of the proceeds went to the Boerne Fire Department and the first-place finisher in each division received a watermelon.
