Inflation is inflating us from every direction
When I first received my driver’s license back in the days when I had a thick head of hair and had to start paying for my own gasoline, it was 55.9 cents per gallon. I remember that distinctively as I saw my hardearned money rolling away as the numbers on the pump spun rapidly like the wheels of a slot machine.

Teaching sportsmanship to kids
Q: Our family loves playing sports so being limited the past couple of years has been tough. Our 8-year-old twins are finally starting league soccer this summer. My husband and I were both college athletes and we’re ultra-competitive, so we want to ensure that we maintain a healthy perspective. Do you have any advice?

State comptroller releases broadband plan
State Comptroller Glenn Hegar last week released his agency’s plan to support the expansion of broadband internet access to areas with limited or no access. Hegar and his agency’s Broadband Development Office received feedback through a series of town halls, virtual discussions and more than 16,000 responses to a survey.
