Summer camp
Summer camp
Boy Scout Troop 102, sponsored by First United Methodist Church, just returned from summer camp at Camp Constantin located on Possum Kingdom Lake, west of Mineral Wells. Some 700 Scouts from all over Texas were in attendance for the week-long camp, including 27 Scouts and nine adults from Boerne’s Troop 102. BKCEDC supports incubator project with $75,000 donation
The Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation recently made a $75,000 donation toward the launch of Das GreenHaus, the first business incubator in Kendall County scheduled to open in early 2023. The Boerne Star visits Europe
A group of Boerne High students, parents and teachers recently went on an 11-day trip to Europe and visited four different countries. The group took along a copy of the Boerne Star for their reading enjoyment. The group visited France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria and posed for a photo in front of Nueschwanstein Castle in Hohenschwangau, Germany, the inspiration for the Disney Cinderella castle. Centurions elect new officers
The Centurions of Kendall County recently elected new officers for 2022-23. They took office at the Centurions’ annual installation ceremony at Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club. The new officers are, from left: Historian Ken Nietenhoefer, Secretary Randy Niemeier, Treasurer Justin Boerner, President Paul Duran and Vice President Donnie Poitenent. The Centurions of Kendall County is a nonprofit association dedicated to the enrichment of life in Kendall County.
