Reading the Declaration
The Declaration of Independence was read outside the Kendall County Courthouse on Friday, July 1, in honor of the Fourth of July holiday. Those reading the declaration were participating in a statewide effort initiated in 2010 by the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association to have the document read in each county in Texas. Pictured are, from left, Charlie Wetherbee, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; Paula Wells, Boerne VFW Post 688; William Blackman, Sons of the American Revolution; and Eric Vickery, VFW Post 688.
