NEW BRAUNFELS– Local environmental groups and concerned members of the community plan to speak out against a proposed permit application filed by a Comal County landowner with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality at a public meeting planned for June 8th. Local library receives additional grant monies to archive The Star
Boerne TX — The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) recently awarded funding to the Patrick Heath Public Library under its Tex-Treasures Grant program. The library will use the $38,717 award to provide access to even more of Boerne’s history with the digitization of The Boerne Star issues dated from 1994 to 2010. The digitized pages will be available globally through the Portal to Texas History, where the issues from 1940 to 1986 can already be read, thanks in part to TSLAC.
