Geneva baseball team falls in state semifinals
The Cypress Christian baseball team defeated Geneva School of Boerne on the final play of the game during Monday’s TAPPS DIII state semifinals game in Arlington. It was tied 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh when the Warriors scored the winning run for a walkoff victory. With the bases loaded, Cypress Christian brought in the game winner with a hit to right field. The contest didn’t start until 8:20 and ended after 11 p.m. on Monday.
