Leo Louis Lang was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Harper, Texas, to Arthur and Mathilda (nee Fritz). He was called home by the Lord and passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, at the age of 92.

Leo is survived by his wife of 68 years, Diane; his children, Carolyn, Michael and Rock Bradford; and his brothers, Franklin Clark and Arthur “Bobby.” He was blessed with six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.

Leo was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend.

After leaving Harper at an early age, he joined the U.S. Army and became a staff sergeant serving in Korea and Japan during the 1950s. After leaving military service he worked at Howell refinery for approximately 10 years.

He then worked at the San Antonio Water System and retired after 25-plus years. He resided in Boerne, Texas, for most of his adult life.

Leo was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and was a Kendall County Fair director for more than 15 years. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing.

Most of all he enjoyed being with his family and traveling across the country with his wife.

Leo’s family would like to thank everyone for the many prayers and visits to him over the last few years.

A visitation and rosary service will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 13, 2024, at Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, 1265 N. Main St. in Boerne, with the Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. June 14, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8500 Cross Mountain Trail in San Antonio. Graveside service follows at 2:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, 25076 US 290 in Harper.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
