Ralph E. Fair Jr., 90, passed into eternity on May 29, 2024. Ralph was born Nov. 15, 1933, to Dorothy Exline Fair and Ralph Emerson Fair Sr. in Dallas, Texas.

Ralph graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute and received an engineering degree from the University of Texas in Austin. He then began work with his father in the Texas oilfield as a petroleum engineer.

In 1964, Ralph married Janis Regel. Ralph and Janis raised their three daughters, Susanne, Dorothy and Diane, in Texas and Central America, giving their children a diverse learning experience and many family adventures.

In 1975, Ralph began the development of Fair Oaks Ranch, establishing the Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club in 1978.

In 1980, Ralph moved his family to Costa Rica, where he advanced his evangelistic ministry. Ralph supported programs for women and children and founded Casa del Aguila, an orphanage, church, school and medical outpost for children and families in remote Peru.

In Texas, Ralph continued to support other charitable associations, namely the Charity Ball Association, founded in 1954 by his mother, which supports children in Bexar County.

Ralph was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boerne, serving as a deacon for 20-plus years. A deeply religious and spiritual person, Ralph shared his Christian faith with all.

Ralph is survived by Janis Regel Fair and their three daughters: Susanne Fair Richardson and husband, Douglas Richardson, and their seven children, Marguerite Ruby, Joshua, Gabriela Powell, Sophia, Isaac, Isabelle and Eloisa; Dorothy Fair Frean and husband, Alejandro Frean, and their two children, Alexandra and Patrick; and Diane Fair Pratt and her husband, Jason Pratt, and her two children, Olivia Tennison and Noah Tennison. Ralph is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Trace Ruby, Garrett Ruby, Price Powell and Prescott Powell.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. June 14, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Boerne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charity Ball Association at https://cbaofsa. org/contribute/
