County judge, commissioner in May 26 runoff; incumbents capture county seats

Two of three Kendall County Commissioners Court seats up for election Tuesday will go to runoffs after no one candidate secured 50 percent of the votes cast.

County Judge Shane Stolarczyk captured 3,935 votes, or  44.1% of the ballots cast in his reelection bid. He will face challenger Ricky Gleason, whose 3,612 votes accounted for 40.56 % of the votes cast in the judge's race. Besa Martin took 15.25% of  the vote, drawing 1,358 votes.

Stolarcyk and Gleason will be parrt of the May 26 runoff election.

Also on the May 26 ballot will be Precinct 2 County Commissioner Andra Wisian, who pulled 47.3% of the Precinct 2 tally,  with her 1,140 votes. She will face challenger  J.C. taylor, whose finished the night with 947 votes, accounting for 39.3% of the final tally. A third candidate, Richard Elkins, received 323 votes, 13.4% of the vote cast in the race.

Chad Carpenter, Precinct 4 county commissioner, won handily over challenger Brett D'Spain, 1,536 to 832, good for a 64.8-35.2 percent win.

Others county incumbent reelected include Justice of the Peace Precinct 2's Dave Neighbors  and Precinct 3's Debby Hudson, and County Treasurer Sheryl D'Spain.

The Election Department showed 13,169 votes cast -- 33.04% of the county's 39,856 registered voters. Of those, 7,528 were cast in Early Voting, while 5,641 came in on Election Day. 

KENDALL COUNTY JUDGE

Besa Martin -- 1,449 votes, 14.91 percent.

Shane Stolarczyk (i) -- 4,292 votes, 44.16 percent

Ricky Gleason -- 3,979 votes, 40.94 perent

COUNTY COMMISSION PCT 2

Richard Elkins -- 392votes, 13.45 percent

J.C. Taylor -- 1,088 votes, 38.24 percent

Andra Wisian (i) -- 1,360 votes, 47.8 percent

COUNTY COMMISSION PCT 4

Brett D'Spain -- 841 votes, 35.29 percent

Chad Carpenter (i) -- 1,542 votes, 64.71 percent

COUNTY TREASURER

Susanne Presley -- 3,460 votes, 38.51 percennt

Sheryl D'Spain (i) -- 5,524 votes, 61.49 percent

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE PCT 2

Vince Robisheaux -- 705 votes, 26.44 percent

Dave Neighbor (i) -- 1,961 votes, 73.56 percent

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE PCT 3

Jon Tipton -- 1,117 votes, 48.5 percent

Debby Hudson (i) -- 1,186 votes, 51.5 percent

HOUSE REP. DISTRICT 19 (Kendall Cnty. only)

Ellen Troxclair (i) --  7,307 votes, 77.6 percent

George Cambanis -- 2,109 votes, 22.4 percent

Mark Teixeira -- 5,915 votes, 59.25 percernt

Michael Wheeler -- 1,655 votes, 16.58 percent
