BOERNE — Boerne Independent School District Superintendent Kristin Craft has been named a 2026 Women’s Leadership Award winner by the San Antonio Business Journal.
Craft is one of only 25 women selected for this year’s honor from nearly 100 nominations. The 2026 Women’s Leadership Award winners will be honored during an awards luncheon on Aug. 6 at the Inter-Continental Hotel in San Antonio. One honoree will also be named Woman of the Year.
The annual Women’s Leadership Awards recognize women across the region who are leading, innovating and giving back to their communities. Honorees represent a wide range of industries and include CEOs, owners, partners, senior executives and community leaders.
For Dr. Craft, the recognition reflects the people and purpose that define Boerne ISD.
“I am incredibly honored to be recognized alongside such inspiring women leaders from across the San Antonio area,” Dr. Craft said. “This award is a reflection of the students, staff, families and community members who make Boerne ISD so special. Every day, I have the privilege of seeing people come together around a shared commitment to excellence, innovation and the success of every child. That is what makes this work so meaningful.”
Since joining Boerne ISD in January 2024, Craft has led with a focus on student achievement, strong relationships, community engagement and a belief that public education has the power to shape futures. Her leadership is rooted in collaboration and a deep commitment to ensuring that every student is known, supported and prepared for success.
Across the district, Dr. Craft is known for her visible leadership and her ability to bring people together around a shared vision. Whether celebrating student accomplishments, supporting educators, engaging with families or working alongside community partners, she continues to champion the people and programs that make Boerne ISD one of the premier school districts in Texas.
“Dr. Craft leads with vision, integrity and heart,” said Board President, Courtney Darter Bruce. “She understands that strong schools are built through strong relationships, and she works every day to serve our students, staff and community with excellence. This recognition is well deserved, and we are proud to celebrate her leadership.”
