LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT

JULY 7

7:21 a.m., 200 block of N. Esser Road - A caller reported seeing a vehicle pulled over by another vehicle with a male wearing dark clothing. The caller was concerned it was someone posing as law enforcement. 10:17 a.m., 600 block of Siefert Pond - A caller reported his garage door was damaged by fireworks set off directly across from his residence. 12:12 p.m., 200 block of Market Street - A caller reported a vehicle at the end of the street with occupants with ski masks. It was found the ski masks were on the head rests.

1:39 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street - An employee reported a woman was stuffing her purse and coat with store merchandise. Law enforcement came to the location and detained the woman.

JULY 8

4:54 a.m., 100 block of Bent Tree - A caller reported a male in his underwear shooting a firearm in the street. The caller was unsure if the male lived in the area, as it is a gated community. Shots were fired at the male and he was later pronounced dead.

10:21 a.m., 1000 block of N. Main Street - A caller reported a male left boxes in the vehicle he rented from the caller. The caller said he was concerned because the male was acting strange and the remaining boxes were for “high-powered weaponry.” 2:41 p.m., 200 block of Mustang Run - A caller reported a vehicle driving erratically on the road. The caller said the vehicle was only going 10 mph but continued to overcorrect.

7:01 p.m., 100 block of Herff Road - A caller reported a male touching himself inappropriately in front of the caller’s daughter at the pool.

JULY 10

9:37 a.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road - A caller reported a fraudulent charge on his account following a trip to a fast-food restaurant.

4:11 p.m., mile marker 533, E. I-10 - A caller reported a driver pointed a firearm at the caller. The caller provided law enforcement with the license plate number, but they could not locate the vehicle. 10:17 p.m., 100 block of Crosspoint - A caller reported a group of teenagers jumped out of a vehicle and ran into the apartment complex. The caller was concerned about a potentially aggressive situation occurring.

JULY 11

1:17 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road - A caller reported loud music playing from a nearby apartment for an hour. 11:45 a.m., River Road/Herff Road A caller reported a driver nearly caused collisions. The caller said the driver passed vehicles in no passing zones, nearly resulting in a head-on collision. 3:34 p.m., 200 block of W. Theissen - A caller reported their house was hit by lightning and he was unsure if it was on fire or not. Boerne F.D. came to the location and found th residence was not on fire.

5:10 p.m., 300 block of Esser Road - A caller reported a gas station selling illegal pills.

6:56 p.m., 200 block of W. Bandera Road - A caller reported a vehicle she suspected of being involved in a drug deal. The caller said the occupants had marijuana andTHC pens among other items.

JULY 12

1:52 a.m., 100 block of Crosspoint - A caller reported he heard yelling and a physical altercation outside. The caller looked at his camera footage but did not see anything.

1:34 p.m., 200 block of W. Flowing River - A caller reported her front license plate was stolen.

2:39 p.m., 1600 block of River Road - A caller reported his neighbors were throwing fireworks at his door.

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE JULY 7

8:24 a.m., 30000 block of W. I-10 A caller reported firearms were stolen from her storage unit.

9:28 a.m., 100 block of W. Hosack - A foot pursuit of a subject was reported to dispatch. Two males were pursued by troopers and taken into custody.

9:37 a.m., 200 block of Upper Balcones Road - A caller reported receiving packages mailed to his address but were not addressed to him.

7:36 p.m., Truss Street - A caller reported locating his stolen vehicle. The caller said he reported the vehicle stolen through SAPD.

JULY 9

12:16 a.m., mile marker 535, W. I-10 - A caller reported two 18-wheelers collided. Both vehicles remained upright but left significant debris in the road.

7:02 a.m., 400 block of Waring-Welfare Road - A caller reported a loose cow who was continuously escaping and coming over to the caller’s house.

11:31 a.m., 100 block of Wild Yonder A caller reported a taco truck in the area was driving around the block, playing sirens. Law enforcement made contact with the truck operator who said he would not play the sound anymore.

5:17 p.m., 200 block of Highway 27 - A caller reported his wife’s phone was stolen from the location.

JULY 10

10:20 a.m., 300 block of FM 474 - A caller was concerned about her daughter being in a vehicle with someone who she suspected was on cocaine. Dispatch made contact with the daughter, and a family dispute occurred. Law enforcement located the family and provided assistance.

2:06 p.m., 38000 block of E. I-10 - A caller reported homeless people were trying to break into a broken-down vehicle on the side of the road.

3:21 p.m., mile marker 542, W. I-10 - A caller reported a vehicle going over 120 mph on the interstate, swerving in and out of traffic. Law enforcement located the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search.

6:30 p.m., 100 block of Thomas Road - A caller reported his neighbors were discharging firearms at the caller’s gun range.

JULY 11

2:00 a.m., 600 block of Walnut Grove Road - A caller reported a poacher on the property. The caller said the individual shot something then left the property. The caller initially began following the caller but was advised by dispatch to stop.

7:02 a.m., 800 block of FM 289 - A caller reported a vehicle appeared to have run off the road and hit a tree. The caller said she was concerned the vehicle was involved in an accident. Law enforcement came to the area but did not see the vehicle.

9:28 a.m., 31000 block of W. I-10 - A caller reported three large dogs running toward the access road. The caller was worried the dogs may get hit.

3:10 p.m., 300 block of Clubs Drive A caller reported a fire in a neighbor’s house after it was struck by lightning. Sisterdale F.D., Boerne F.D. and Bergheim F.D. reported to the scene.

JULY 12

3:01 a.m., mile marker 523, W. I-10 - A caller reported guardrail was coming off a bridge. The caller noted a male on the side of the guardrail who appeared to be straddling the guardrail with a flashlight. Law enforcement located the male and found he was doing work.

5:44 a.m., 100 block of Highway 27 - A caller reported she flipped her vehicle and injured her head. The caller said she was unsure of where she was and was trapped in her vehicle.

9:47 a.m., on FM 473/FM 3351 - A caller reported two goat escapees on the side of the road around half a mile from their herd.

8:54 p.m., on Wasp Creek Road - A caller reported his neighbor shot at his property and it landed next to the caller. The caller said he did not want to press charges but would like the neighbor to be educated on firearm safety.

9:37 p.m., 200 block of Paint Creek A caller reported his kids were almost run off the road by a vehicle. The caller said the driver brandished a firearm.
