Geneva School of Boerne sent three track and field athletes to this year’s TAPPS 4A State Track and Field Meet held in Waco May 5-6 and one of the Eagles was crowned state champ.
Isabella Godoy won the girls 800-meter race with a time of 2:17.69 to earn gold and Godoy also placed fifth in the 400 after running a time of 1:00.23.
On the boys side, Hayden Allen finished fourth in the 100 dash with a time of 11.23 and Brady Chandler placed sixth in the pole vault after he cleared 11-06 and was the only freshman vaulting in 4A.
All three Geneva athletes earned team points at the state meet.
