The Boerne High girls soccer team will have to wait a week before they find out what place they’ll finish in District 26-4A.
BHS is currently tied with Davenport and Wimberley in the district standings at 6-1-2 after all three won last Friday.
The Lady Hounds defeated Canyon Lake on the road last Friday, 2-1, to stay in the thick of things. Davenport defeated Fredericksburg 3-0 and Wimberley knocked off Bandera, 10-0.
All the teams in the district are off for spring break and won’t resume action until Tuesday, March 19.
On that Tuesday, Boerne will visit Wimberley and Davenport is on the road at Canyon Lake.
A Boerne win over Wimberley, coupled with a Canyon Lake victory vs. Davenport gives the Lady Greyhounds the district title, so they can finish anywhere from first to third depending on what happens on that final night of district action.
Canyon Lake is the fourthplace team in district and sits at 5-4, while Fred is 1-8 and Bandera is 0-9.
After beating Canyon Lake Friday, the Lady Hounds need the Lady Hawks to help them out and defeat Davenport next week.
In last Friday’s match, Bella Pettet and Mahaley Merkins both tallied goals, while Avery Ukeiley assisted on one of the goals.
