Letters To The Editor

Gun owners for Trump

Editor, If every gun owner votes in November, Trump will win by a landslide. Only 6% of gun owners voted on 2020. If gun owners vote on Nov. 5, 2024, Trump wins.

Bills fight Alzheimer’s

Editor, Over the last decade, our nation has made great progress in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementia. Unfortunately, more work remains to be done.

Alzheimer’s disease effects almost 7 million Americans and involves over 11 million direct caregivers. I am a husband and a caregiver for my wife who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s six years ago.

We must cure this disease. There has never been a survivor and I unashamedly root for my wife to be one of the first.

As a caregiver and advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, I am urging U.S. Rep. Chip Roy to take an active role to bring up two critical bipartisan bills for a vote: the NAPA Reauthorization Act and the Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act.

Earlier this summer, they were unanimously passed in the Senate. Now it is time for the House to pass them and Rep. Roy could do much more to help this cause. Please help all those affected by this terrible disease and urge Rep. Roy to bring both the NAPA Reauthorization Act (S.133/ H.R.619) and the Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act (S.134/H.R.620) to the House floor for a vote.
