Exploring the life and history of county’s namesake
Exploring the life and history of county’s namesake
“Interesting name for my county, Kendall. Rare is the county that is named for a living, incumbent resident. What is even rarer was George Wilkins Kendall’s path to fame. He was not from a founding family of Texas. He was not a politician, a Texas Ranger, a lawyer nor a war hero. His career enterprise was located in Louisiana and New Hampshire was his birth state.” 02/15/2022 12:00 AM

Should inflation affect investment?
Should inflation affect investment?
As you know, inflation heated up in 2021, following years of pretty stable – and low – numbers. And now, early in 2022, we’re still seeing elevated prices. As a consumer, you may need to adjust your activities somewhat, but as an investor, how should you respond to inflation? 02/11/2022 12:00 AM

Green to go
Green to go
The Roy Maas Youth Alternatives has a new addition to its Meadowlands location in Boerne, thanks to The Rotary Club of Fair Oaks Ranch. The local community service organization contributed a professional golf putting green for the 42-acre campus. The putting green is expected to help bring golf therapy to RMYA children, develop social skills, build self-confidence and learn a life-long talent. The green campaign was initiated by Rotarian Charles Pearson and was the largest service project undertaken by the FOR Rotary Club in its 10-year history. Pictured above are RMYA Chief Development Officer Gail Ribalta, left, and CEO Blair Thompson, right, joining Pearson and FOR Rotary President Greg Maxton in accepting a check reflecting the cost of the new putting green.
