Staci Almager, CEO of Hill Country Family Services, reads the proclamation the Kendall County Commissioners Court approved Monday morning, marking Aug. 17 as Kendall County Nonprofit Day. During discussions about the proclamation, it was announced that HCFS, the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce and Kendall County Giving Connections worked together to have local nonprofits recognized by both the county and the city of Boerne. Several representatives from the leading organizations and the numerous nonprofits lined the Kendall County Commissioners courtroom during the presentation.
