The 11th Annual Boerne Art Waddle proved to be a great success. We were fortunate to have Connie Clark join us as celebrity judge. Clark has been associated with Hill Country Council for the Arts for over ten years. As the former weekly columnist for Celebrating the Arts in Hill Country, she is a collector and has a love of art in all its man-ifestations from literary to performing to visual. San Antonio– Primarily Primates Inc., a Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) accredited sanctuary, is rescuing five primates from Dr. Juan A. Rivero Zoo in Puerto Rico, which permanently closed in February following years of suspected negligence, a lack of resources and deaths of animals that were highlighted by activists.
