Franklin Lang

Franklin Clark Lang, born July 7, 1941, in Fredericksburg, Texas, quietly passed away at home in the early morning hours of July 2, 2026, after years of courageously battling his heart condition.
Clark was the 12th of 13 children born to Arthur C. Lang and Mathilda Fritz and is survived by his younger brother Bobby. He grew up in Harper, Texas surrounded by the love and energy of a large family. At the age of seventeen, Clark proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving his country from 1959 to 1963. In 1963, he married Maxine and together they raised their three children: Theresa, Monte, and Curtis.
He moved the family to the hill country where he discovered his passion for custom home building. His demand for craftsmanship and strong work ethic left a lasting mark on the community, including the construction of the 8th home in Fair Oaks Ranch.
In 1990, Clark married Karolyn, welcoming her two children, Kimberly and Bradley, into his life. Later, Clark was blessed to connect with his daughter Dawne Ann, completing a family that now includes six children, twelve grandchildren, and eleven greatgrandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, greatnieces, and greatnephews.
Clark was known for his warm spirit and the Godgiven gift of hospitality. He delighted in sharing what he had, welcoming others, and creating spaces—both in his homes and in his heart—where people felt cared for and at ease. His generosity, humor, and love will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The memories he leaves behind are treasures that his family and friends will carry forever. He will be deeply missed.
