The Boerne Urban and Community Forestry Program will hold a free tree giveaway March 6, handing out 150 trees to current residents and Boerne Utilities customers, limit one per person. The giveaway, set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. between Boerne City Hall and the Patrick Heath Public Library, will be on a firstcome, first-serve basis. Types of trees include Cedar Elm, Bald Cypress, Chickasaw Plum, Eastern Redbud, Bur Oak, Cottonwood, Roughleaf Dogwood, Anacua, Rusty Blackhaw and Box Elder.
