AREA CRIME REPORTS

LAW ENFORCEMENT 

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. JULY 14

10:20 a.m., 1600 block of River Road - A caller reported her roommate stole some items from her.

11:44 a.m., 34000 block of E. Interstate 10 - A caller reported a power line sparked and a tree began smoking. The tree smoldered but no active fire occurred.

1:33 p.m., 200 block of W. Bandera Road - A caller reported seeing a female motorist run into another vehicle and drive away as she was leaving the location.

JULY 15

9:08 a.m., 600 block of Adler Road - A caller reported she went around the barricade and her vehicle was stuck in a low-water crossing. Boerne F.D. responded to the scene. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle.

9:15 a.m., Ranger Creek Road - A caller reported concern for his elderly neighbor as water was rising near her house. The neighbor was rescued.

9:36 a.m., Herff Road/River Road - A box truck was reported to be floating in the intersection. The driver was successfully removed from the vehicle. Another vehicle went through the intersection and was being washed away. First responders were able to get the driver out of the vehicle.

10:59 a.m., mile marker 540, E. I-10 - A vehicle was reported to be stuck in water, not moving. The driver went on the roof of the vehicle due to the vehicle filling with water.

JULY 16

12:04 a.m., 100 block of Menger Springs - A caller reported smelling smoke in her apartment. The smell of smoke was reported throughout the hospital.

9:41 a.m., 700 block of River Road - A caller reported her neighbor was sexually assaulting her.

10:50 a.m., 200 block of Wild Yonder - A caller reported a gas leak from the meter.

1:21 p.m., 900 block of N. Main Street - A manager reported a male who had a difficult time walking into the location and then urinated on himself and the floor.

JULY 17

12:31 a.m., 37000 block of W. I-10 - A caller reported seeing a pipe and a container of marijuana in a vehicle.

12:53 a.m., 300 block of E. San Antonio - A caller reported hearing a loud noise and saw someone walking around her property. Law enforcement came to the location and the male was detained.

8:51 a.m., 100 block of Spencer Ranch - A caller reported seven cows escaped from a downed fence in the area.

2:23 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street - A caller reported a vehicle parked under a tree in the parking lot. The caller said the driver was inappropriately touching himself with the door open.

JULY 18

3:31 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road - A caller reported her vehicle was hit by another vehicle. The other vehicle knocked the bumper off the caller’s vehicle and drove away.

8:16 a.m., 36000 block of E. I-10 - A caller reported she was sexually assaulted by her roommate and was now being threatened.

11:12 a.m., at Ebner/Rosewood - A caller reported a shirtless middle- aged male who was approaching an unsupervised group of kids.

2:33 p.m., Norris Lane/I-10 Access - A caller reported a woman was screaming and walking down the road in a towel.

JULY 14

12:14 a.m., 100 block of Walnut Grove Road - A caller reported ongoing issues after two vehicles collided. The caller said the other party was sending erratic rants to the caller.

1:22 p.m., 700 block of FM 289 - A calf on the side of the road was waiting for an invite to Popo’s for lunch.

1:37 p.m., on Cordova/Simpatico A caller reported the entire backside of mailboxes was left open. The caller said none of his mail was stolen but he wasn’t sure about other boxes.

3:44 p.m., 100 block of Mahogany Rapids - A caller reported receiving an explicit text over the weekend.

JULY 15

1:08 a.m., 100 block of Tiptop Lane - A caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. Law enforcement searched the area but found no criminal activity.

8:02 a.m., mile marker 524 of E. I-10 - A caller reported she slid off the road and collided with a tree. The caller was unable to get out of the vehicle and was experiencing chest pain. Emergency services came to the location and assisted her.

10:05 a.m., 400 block of N. FM 3351 - A caller reported a vehicle stalled out in a body of water.

6:20 p.m., 400 block of FM 1376 - Multiple callers reported two longhorns loose on the side of the road.

9:30 p.m., 2900 block of FM 473 - A large group of cows were later joined by a horse, a donkey and twenty goats.

JULY 16

1:04 a.m., 100 block of Little Hill - A caller reported a dog let himself in the caller’s home through the dog door. The caller noted the dog was not aggressive, but he was still trying to get in the location.

2:15 p.m., 100 block of Southfield - A caller reported vehicles at her residence, despite her being out of town.

2:34 p.m., on Stuart Street - A caller reported someone was impersonating a deputy, telling the caller he missed a court summons.

10:44 p.m., 1100 block of FM 1376 A caller reported being told someone was screaming for help from the river. First responders searched the area for several hours and found it was likely an animal making the noise.

JULY 17

8:42 a.m., 200 block of July Lane - A caller reported his neighbor was aggressively honking and asking where he could purchase a firearm. The caller said the neighbor’s speech sounded slurred due to a medical condition.

9:48 a.m., 700 block of Ranger Creek - A caller reported an unknown, older vehicle arrived at the location. There were no occupants and the caller was concerned they were walking around the property.

3:56 p.m., 200 block of W. FM 473 - A dog showed up to the Comfort Fire Department, seemingly ready for action.

8:58 p.m., mile marker 526, W. I-10 - A caller reported a vehicle behind him driving without headlights.

JULY 18

1:21 a.m., 200 block of Post Oak A caller reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area. The noise was fireworks, used at an undetermined location.

3:31 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road - A caller reported his vehicle was hit by another vehicle. The other vehicle knocked the caller’s bumper off, before driving away.

6:55 a.m., 100 block of Mountain Springs Drive - A caller reported two males walking along the side of the road with camouflage backpacks. Law enforcement located the males and found they were prepping for an upcoming hike.

4:39 p.m., 100 block of Cool Rock - A caller reported her son’s ex-girlfriend was fraudulently using her credit card.

5:52 p.m., 2900 block of Rio Cordillera - A caller reported that on his trip from San Antonio to Dallas, his front license plate was stolen.
