CELEBRATING THE ARTS
Bring your lawn chairs to Boerne’s Main Plaza and help our community celebrate our country’s birthday at a FREE Independence Day Concert on Sunday, July 2nd at 7pm. Tap your foot to swing selections, and wave the flag to patriotic melodies, and, of course, Stars and Stripes Forever! The Boerne Concert Band, directed by Larry Schmidt, performs five free concerts every year, and is made up of musical members from all walks of life and from all over Texas Hill Country, including lifelong musicians, middle, high school and college students, military veterans and band directors. Jump into HCCArts immersion into Fine Arts instruction with Maren Phillips and her Introduction to Watercolor, Monday, July 10, 10am--1pm, The Classroom at The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road, Boerne. Professional Artist and Instructor, Phillips will introduce participants to the wonderful, fluid art of watercolor.
