The city of Fair Oaks Ranch recently was awarded the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report ending in September 2020, as well as the GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its budget. The Certificate of Achievement in Excellence in Financial Report is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award represents a significant achievement by the finance department. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
