Boerne Independent School District patrons put their trust in Place 4 Trustee Maritza Gonzalez-Cooper for another three years as she easily was re-elected to another term on Saturday.

Boerne Independent School District patrons put their trust in Place 4 Trustee Maritza Gonzalez-Cooper for another three years as she easily was re-elected to another term on Saturday.

Gonzalez-Cooper, who has served three terms on the school board and has served as board president as well as on several of the board’s committees, was re-elected by nearly a 2-to-1 count as she garnered 63.7 percent of the vote from residents in Kendall, Bexar and Comal counties who reside within the school district.

Her opponent was Armando Trevino. The vote tally was 3,145-1,791. Turnout was 12.86 percent and consisted of 6,504 total votes cast.
