The UIL announced its district alignments for the next two years last Thursday and it was a mixed bag for Champion, Boerne High and Comfort, with a few changes and surprises but also some familiar foes.

The Comfort boys basketball team hosted Llano Saturday night and the Bobcats picked up a huge district win after they beat the Yellowjackets by a dozen points, 52-40.

The Comfort girls basketball team solidified its grip on the No. 3 spot in District 25-3A by holding off the Llano Lady Jackets Saturday night in Comfort.

It’s always an intense match when the Geneva School of Boerne and Austin Regents girls soccer teams play and their last match was no exception.

Boerne Champion earned a pair of district wins in boys basketball after the Chargers defeated Kerrville Tivy at home Saturday and picked up a road victory last Tuesday in Seguin.

SAN ANTONIO – Boerne Champion made it a clean sweep at last week’s District 18-5A swim meet held at the NEISD Aquatic Center.

The Boerne High boys soccer team has the privilege of entering this season as the defending 4A state champions.

Both the BHS and Champion tennis teams opened their spring seasons last week.

The Champion swim teams made it a clean sweep at last Friday’s District 18-5A meet held in San Antonio after the Charger boys and girls teams both captured first place. The Greyhounds were also entered and were 5th on the girls side and 6th in the boys event. The top six advance to regionals and the top eight scored team points. Regionals is set for this weekend in College Station.

It’s been a season of individual milestones for the Boerne High girls basketball team this year.

Boerne Champion split its last two district games after they beat Kyle Lehman and fell to Veterans Memorial last week.
