The Comfort softball team returned to action after a six-day break and lost to Llano by a run last week but bounced back to run rule Ingram on Tuesday of this week.

The Geneva School of Boerne girls varsity track team placed second overall at the San Antonio Christian Schools Invitational.

GEORGETOWN – Boerne Champion ended a very special girls soccer season last Thursday at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown.

Boerne goalkeeper Noah LeMaster was named the 4A state tournament MVP after he came up with five saves in Friday’s championship match. LeMaster poses with the 4A state tournament MVP plaque and UIL officials, who presented him the award. What did LeMaster think when it was announced he was the 4A MVP? “It was one of the better feelings in my life,” he said. 

Boerne Champion has qualified a singles player and a doubles team to this year’s 5A state tournament, while another Charger player will serve as an alternate at state.

Canyon Lake overcame the Boerne High baseball team last Thursday and handed the Greyhounds its first district loss this season.

The Boerne High tennis program qualified four players and one alternate to this year’s 4A state tournament after their performances at the regional tourney last week in Corpus Christi.

With one game left in league play, the Boerne softball team claimed this year’s 28-4A title and did it against last year’s district champ.

Champion picked up a key district win last Thursday after the Chargers softball team defeated Seguin at home thanks to a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh.

The Champion baseball team bounced back from last Tuesday’s loss at Alamo Heights and defeated Veterans Memorial at home last Thursday.

GEORGETOWN – Good Friday turned into a great Friday for the Boerne High School boys soccer team after the Greyhounds defended its 4A state title at Birkelbach Field. Boerne defeated Celina in the championship game in overtime, 2-1, to claim back-to-back 4A titles.
