Nicholas Quaid Pedrotti, beloved son, brother, cousin, grandson and friend to so many, has left us to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born into the loving family of Joyce and Dan Pedrotti Jr. on November 5, 1993, in Phoenix, Arizona. He and his family moved back to Texas in 1996 and built their home in Boerne, Texas, with the hope that their beautiful boys would grow and prosper in a small town community. 06/07/2022 12:00 AM

Aiding the silent
Aid the Silent played host to its annual 5-kilometer walk and run Saturday that led participants in and around Boerne. A record number of people – more than 900 – participated in the event that raises funds to help deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens receive equal access to opportunity. The nonprofit does so by providing financial assistance to enhance communication methods, gain access to opportunities and educational resources and improve overall health, both mental and physical to those in need, that leads to individual growth socially, educationally and spiritually. Founder, CEO and Boerne native Emma Faye Rudkin, above, who is deaf herself, welcomed participants and guests on Saturday morning at Main Plaza and used sign language to do so. At left, runners take off from the starting line as they begin their journey. Star photos by Keith E. Domke 06/07/2022 12:00 AM
